AAA Foundation’s 2020 Traffic Safety Culture Index (TSCI) indicates some improvements in risky driving behaviors.

Most U.S. drivers have concerns; the vehicle type and driving scenario did little to ease that apprehension.

While research shows camera enforcement clearly works, the devices are not as widely used as safety groups believe they should be.

This week's national average is nearly 40 cents more expensive compared to a year ago, which was right before state lockdowns started.

The increase represents a 30 cent increase from the beginning of February, and is 28 cents more than a year ago, AAA said.

This past Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 was the first time in 340 days the national average was more expensive than a year ago, according to AAA.

The national average price for gasoline is a nickel more than last week, but is still cheaper year-over-year by 17 cents.

The average national price for gasoline is 16 cents more than a month ago, but still cheaper than last year by 27 cents.

While the national gas price average is nine cents more than last month, January gas prices are already 33 cents cheaper than this time last year.

Motorists can expect gas prices to rise in the coming week, but still be cheaper than the end of 2019.
