One-quarter of Americans say they will consider an electric vehicle for their next vehicle.

This week's national average is nearly 40 cents more expensive compared to a year ago, which was right before state lockdowns started.

The increase represents a 30 cent increase from the beginning of February, and is 28 cents more than a year ago, AAA said.

This past Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 was the first time in 340 days the national average was more expensive than a year ago, according to AAA.

The national average price for gasoline is a nickel more than last week, but is still cheaper year-over-year by 17 cents.

The average national price for gasoline is 16 cents more than a month ago, but still cheaper than last year by 27 cents.

While the national gas price average is nine cents more than last month, January gas prices are already 33 cents cheaper than this time last year.

Motorists can expect gas prices to rise in the coming week, but still be cheaper than the end of 2019.

The national average for gasoline is 11 cents more expensive than last month, but 33 cents cheaper than last year.

Since the beginning of November, U.S. gasoline demand has softened, and average fuel prices have remained flat at $2.16 on the week.
